VLM has announced that it will be launching an extra return service between
London City Airport and
Manchester on March 1st.
The carrier stated that the addition would bump up the total number of return flights between the two locations to nine a day.
More than 113,000 passengers already use the airline's current London-Manchester services, which first launched in September 2002.
"Despite the fierce competition on this route, VLM Airlines has achieved a great deal of recognition amongst the business community and extra demand has brought us to the decision to introduce an extra return flight," commented Johan Vanneste, managing director at
VLM.
The airline announced a new service between
Rotterdam and Manchester last December, which is set to begin on February 26th.
It also carried its four millionth passenger through London City Airport during the month, the first airline to do so at the airport.
