Passengers flying to and from
Heathrow Airport will soon be able to benefit from an extended range of luxury shops when Terminal 5 opens next year.
The
airport announced that it has signed three new deals to sell a number of new high-class goods in the terminal from its opening in March 2008.
Travellers will be able to buy luxury luggage and travel accessories from Smythson, watches and jewellery from Mappin & Webb, and personalised gifts from Links of London.
"Being truly focused on meeting the needs of the airport traveller means that all our business partners are taking an extra step to ensure that passengers will arrive at Terminal 5 excited and depart absolutely delighted," commented Colin Hargrave, managing director of BAA Retail.
Earlier this week, Indian airline
Jet Airways announced that it is to operate flights from Heathrow to
Ahmedabad from the start of next month.
