British Airways has announced the launch of four new services from
Gatwick Airport for the summer.
The new routes include the airline's first new long-haul service in six years. It will begin
flights to Newquay from today, to
Sarajevo and
Dresden from March 25th, and to
Port of Spain from March 28th.
In addition, Gatwick flights to Messaoud in Algeria, Newcastle and Riga in Latvia will be pulled from the schedule from March 25th.
The changes coincide with the recent overhaul of the airline's
London City Airport flights.
British Airways said earlier this month that it is relaunching operations at the hub in the form of the BA CityFlyer subsidiary. As a result, it will launch new routes to
Glasgow and
Zurich on March 25th.
Other destinations that will be included in the new London City Airport timetable will consist of
Frankfurt,
Madrid and
Milan.
