Holidaymakers looking for a more grown-up alternative to Glastonbury this summer might want to check out the Tollwood Summer Festival in
Munich.
Taking place between June 14th and July 8th at the Olympic Park Grounds, this popular event brings a host of well-known names from the world of music to play live to a huge crowd.
This year, visitors to
Munich will be able to take in sets from the likes of Sonic Youth, ZZ Top, OMD and Foreigner, as well as a host of jazz, funk and hip hop stars from around the world.
In addition to the music, a number of international theatre groups will put on performances for those wanting to expand their cultural horizons, while a unique market will sell a wide array of organic food and drink and handmade goods.
If the festival whets your appetite for the German arts, it might be worth checking out the rest of the cultural attractions to be found in
Munich once the event is over.
For more information, check out the
Tollwood Summer Festival website.
