Stansted Airport has installed information kiosks with touch-screen
technology to help passengers find out about the public transport options in the area.
The bright yellow Information Pods display the types of transport available, along with weather forecasts and important information about the airport.
Two of these pods have been placed in the airport's baggage reclaim area, with another one located in domestic baggage reclaim.
According to
Stansted Airport public transport manager Steve Mills, about 40 per cent of the passenger that pass through the hub use bus and train services to travel to and from the airport.
"This new service showcases the wide range of transport options that are available to passengers and allows them to plan their onward journey from start to finish," he said.
Last month, the airport launched a consultation on plans to improve transport links in the area, including proposals to ease road traffic and encourage greater use of bus and rail services.
