Research has revealed that business travellers are increasingly getting to grips with the
technology on offer at the UK's airports.
According to results from the 11th Barclaycard Business Travel Survey, more business passengers used facilities such as online check-in, self-service kiosks and mobile check-in last year compared with 2005.
And business passengers continue to view travel as an essential part of their everyday work, with the survey indicating that 79 per cent of respondents believe travel to be beneficial to their businesses.
"Business travellers want to reduce the hassle of travel as much as possible and queuing to check-in at an airport can take up a lot of valuable time. It is not surprising that many are taking advantage of new ways to check-in," commented Denise Leleux, director of commercial cards for Barclaycard Business.
The bank recently released further results from the survey suggesting that
British Airways is the most popular airline for business travel.
