Make a splash in Boston

Make a splash in Boston
Holidaymakers wanting to experience the USA's Fourth of July celebrations in style should fly to Boston for the annual Boston Harbourfest event.

This seven-day celebration runs between June 28th and July 4th in the city's downtown and waterfront districts, and attracts millions of revellers every year.

Visitors to Boston can expect to see numerous concerts, exhibitions, re-enactments, historical tours and mini-festivals commemorating the country's first day of independence.

Major events taking place during Harbourfest include Children's Day on July 2nd, when a series of child-friendly activities and games are made available at the City Hall Plaza, and Chowderfest on July 1st, which sees restaurants from the region compete to make Boston's best chowder.

July 4th itself brings a re-enactment of the Boston Tea Party, a series of superb fireworks displays and a performance from the Boston Pops Orchestra.

For more information, take a look at the Harbourfest website.
