The majority of business travellers feel safer on flights now compared with a decade ago, according to new research.
Barclaycard Business' latest release of findings from its 11th business travel survey has revealed that 96 per cent of flyers feel safe on business flights, despite a 67 per cent increase in terrorist threats.
In addition, a rising number of travellers are taking safety precautions when jetting off to meetings.
"It is clear that steps taken in recent years such as increased security checks at airports, higher safety standards on trains and a shift in attitudes towards safer driving have all helped make the business traveller feel more secure whilst on the move," commented Denise Leleux, director of commercial cards at Barclaycard Business.
Earlier this month, the bank released survey findings indicating that business travellers are increasingly taking to using new technology at airports, such as self-service kiosks, when journeying within the UK and abroad.
