One of the biggest rodeos in the world comes to
Calgary every July in the form of the Calgary Stampede, offering entertainment for all the family.
Taking place between July 6th and 15th at Stampede Park, this event sees more than one million people descend on
Calgary for a host of traditional rodeo events such as steer wrestling, bull riding, calf roping and more.
Elsewhere, visitors can also enjoy a number of live musical performances, children's events, theatre performances, markets, traditional Indian shows, competitions and spectacular acrobatics.
Highlights of the event include the first day's Stampede Parade and a jaw-dropping evening of entertainment at the Grandstand Show, featuring a wide array of comedy, music and dance shows by artists and performers from across
Canada and beyond.
Travellers attending the Calgary Stampede will find much to occupy them during their break, and with the city also offering winter sports and other cultural festivals year-round, they may want to visit again in the future.
