Golfers planning on heading to
the Caribbean or
Florida this summer might want to take advantage of a new special offer from
Virgin Atlantic.
The airline has announced that passengers taking their golf clubs to these destinations between May 28th and July 15th will be able to take along another piece of luggage for free.
This offer is valid on flights departing from
London Gatwick and
Manchester Airport and means that passengers will be able to take two pieces of luggage weighing up to 23 kilogrammes each, along with a set of golf clubs comprising up to 14 clubs, 12 golf balls and one pair of shoes.
"We are thrilled that we are able to help our passengers' holidays go with a swing whether they choose the luscious golf courses in the Caribbean or the stunning courses in Florida," commented Paul Dickinson, director of sales and marketing at Virgin Atlantic.
According to MSNBC, certain resorts in
Barbados and the
Dominican Republic offer some of the best golf to be had in the Caribbean, with TPC Sawgrass in Florida boasting one of the most accessible courses in the
USA.
