British Airways has won the title of Airline of the Year at the annual Official Airline Guide (OAG) awards.
The awards ceremony was held earlier this week in London and bestowed a number of awards on airlines and
airports across the globe.
British Airways also managed to scoop the Best Transatlantic Airline award, as well as Best Europe-Asia/Australasia Airline and Best Airline Based in Western Europe.
OAG chief executive Alan Glass said: "British Airways performed solidly in just about every category it was eligible for. The people that matter, the world's frequent fliers, made it very clear in the way they voted that they like what British Airways is offering them."
Continental Airlines and
Singapore Airlines also took home a clutch of awards between them, while Seoul Incheon International grabbed the title of Best Airport.
British Airways has won a number of awards over the years, with one of the most recent being the title of Airline of the Year in the World Airline Awards last year.
