Etihad has announced that it is to launch its new service from
Dublin to
Abu Dhabi a month earlier than originally scheduled.
The flights will now begin on July 2nd and will operate four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Etihad chief executive James Hogan said that the new service is expected increase business between Ireland and the
United Arab Emirates, as well as expanding options for travellers looking to fly to more distant eastern destinations from
Dublin.
"One of the most popular aspects of the new service is that our customers will have the choice of morning or evening flights. This will be particularly important for passengers flying eastwards from Abu Dhabi to destinations like Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Sydney," he added.
The airline originally announced in February that the new service will launch in August, flying via Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
