Business travellers tend to consider location over other factors when choosing a hotel to stay at, according to new research.
Newly released findings from the 11th Barclaycard Business Travel Survey have suggested that 75 per cent of business travellers prefer a good location for their hotel, while just 15 per cent cited facilities as being the most important element in their choice.
Nearly a quarter said that cost was their main concern, with four per cent opting for hotel security features.
"Whilst some may see staying in a hotel on business as a perk of the job, our survey shows that when it comes to business accommodation it is location that's key and not the price of the room or the added facilities that the hotel has to offer," commented Denise Leleux, director of commercial cards for Barclaycard Business.
The firm recently announced other findings from the same survey indicating that nearly three-quarters of those who travel for business purposes enjoy the time they spend away from home, with more than half of those polled stating that they like seeing more of the world.
