Bellview Airlines has announced that all of its services between
Heathrow Airport and
Lagos are now direct flights.
Previously, these flights had been rerouted via
Freetown, but are now operating directly between the two destinations following approval gained from the UK government in January this year.
The changes come shortly after the privately-owned airline said that it will be increasing the frequency of these flights to four services a week, operating on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
"With the four weekly flights offer, passengers now have the benefit of additional flight frequencies with the opportunity for more choice and convenience in making their travel arrangements," a statement from the airline said.
Bellview Airlines also offers flights from Lagos to other African destinations such as
Johannesburg and
Douala, as well as to local towns and cities including
Abuja,
Dakar and
Conakry.
Lagos is home to a number of festivals that may be of interest to holidaymakers, including the Shango Festival and the Eyo Festival.
