Holidaymakers intending to catch a
flight to Amsterdam this summer will not want to miss the colourful spectacle of Amsterdam Pride.
This event celebrates gay and lesbian life through a variety of parties, activities and more between August 3rd and 5th, attracting hundreds of thousands of spectators every year.
Visitors to
Amsterdam will be able to take part in massive street parties catering for a range of musical tastes on the Friday of the festival, before witnessing the famous Canal Parade on Saturday.
The parade sees 100 boats covered in decorations float through the city past packed riverbanks, before finishing in the early evening to make way for more parties.
On Sunday, a huge closing party takes place at the Rembrandtplein, which includes the traditional Tea Dance event.
The festivities are not restricted to endless parties; for those wanting to celebrate differently, a range of sports and other activities will be taking place around
Amsterdam.

Amsterdam Pride website.
