Holidaymakers hopping on a
flight to Prague this summer are likely to find themselves drawn to the city's stunning castle upon arrival.
Prague Castle is thought to be the biggest ancient castle in the world and is situated on the top of a hill, making it one of the first things tourists see when visiting the city.
It has been in existence since the ninth century and as a result boasts some fascinating architecture and interiors, particularly as it has been rebuilt several times over the years.
Visitors to
Prague could make a morning or afternoon of it and head to the castle to see sights such as Saint Vitus' Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, St George's Basilica, the Prague Castle Gallery and the Powder Tower.
As you might expect, the castle is also home to an array of beautiful gardens - perfect for a stroll on a warm summer day.
And once you've had your fill of the delights that the castle has to offer,
Prague also offers a wide range of other historical buildings and monuments to occupy you during the rest of your stay.

Prague Castle website.
