Fireworks on the beach

Take a flight over to the USA this summer and enjoy some explosive entertainment in Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida.

Marking the nation's independence on July 4th, the city's all day celebration includes DJs, children's activities, live music concerts and a spectacular fireworks finale.

Kicking off the musical entertainment in the afternoon are the Hep Cat Boo Daddies, followed by the Nucklebusters in the evening.

The event's organisers say: "Don't miss this premier pyrotechnic event!"

While in Fort Lauderdale, visitors can take a trip to see the world-famous theme parks in Orlando, which include Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

Boasting four "captivating" theme parks and two "refreshing" water parks, Disney World is popular with visitors of all ages.

Those looking for a mix of wildlife and rollercoasters can also take in the numerous attractions of Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay.
