Fans of rock music should consider taking a trip over to
Belgium for one of Europe's most popular music festivals.
Attracting 50,000 each year, the Rock Werchter festival held near
Brussels between June 28th and July 1st promises performances from some of the biggest names in music.
Heading up the bill at this year's event are Arctic Monkeys, Metallica, Kaiser Chiefs, The Killers, Razorlight, Pearl Jam and Snow Patrol.
Visitors to the event can take in all the sights and sounds while staying at one of the festivals campsites, while those travelling to the venue from the airport are advised to take a train to Leuven station.
While in
Belgium, visitors can enjoy the sights of Brussels, including the Grand Place, the Town Hall and Manneken Pis.
Additionally, the Atomium, built for the World Fair in 1958, offers spectacular views of the city from its famous molecule spheres.
