New tourist attraction for Melbourne

New tourist attraction for Melbourne
A new tourist attraction has opened in Melbourne, Australia, in the Eureka Tower.

Eureka Skydeck 88 is thought to be the highest point in the southern hemisphere from which members of the public can gaze upon their surroundings.

According to the Melbourne Convention and Visitors' Bureau, the attraction will offer "unparalleled views of Melbourne and its surrounds", with a moving glass cube set to carry visitors from the inside of the tower to the outside.

The tower is located next to the Yarra River, along which other attractions such as a newly restored Central Pier and the relaunched Shed 14 venue are set to open in the near future.

Other attractions in Melbourne, which is situated in the state of Victoria, include the Golden Mile, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne Zoo, the Royal Exhibition Building and the Melbourne Museum.

For more information, check out the Melbourne Convention and Visitors' Bureau website.
