Virgin Atlantic has announced that passengers in its Upper Class cabin will be able to make use of free Wi-Fi access across all of its Upper Class Clubhouses by the end of 2007.
The service is currently being used by those flying from
Heathrow and
Gatwick airports, as well as certain airports in
New York,
Washington and
Hong Kong. It is expected to be rolled out in
Tokyo,
Boston, Newark,
San Francisco and
Johannesburg in the coming months.
Passengers looking to take advantage of the service can do so by obtaining an access code at the reception desk for each Clubhouse.
"The introduction of free Wi-Fi access in our Clubhouses will mean that Upper Class passengers will no longer have the frustration of trying to make it through the internet connection jungle," commented Steve Ridgway, chief executive of
Virgin Atlantic.
Last month, the airline launched its second daily service between the UK and Washington, as well as new
flights to Chicago.
