Each year hundreds of thousands of people visit
Germany to enjoy the "longest beer garden in the world" at the International Berlin Beer Festival.
Sampling thousands of beers produced by over 240 breweries from 80 different countries, visitors can slowly make their way along the 2.2 km
Berlin "beer mile" between August 3rd and 5th.
Attracting crowds from all over the world, the free-of-charge festival also includes a live musical programme across 18 stages.
"Both young and old meet to enjoy this unique variety of beer in the beautiful summer of the city," the organisers say.
While in Berlin, visitors can take in the sights of the historical city, including the Brandenburg Gate and the Memorial Church.
Those looking for a taste of German culture can enjoy shows performed at the Deutsche Oper in Charlottenburg, where past performances have included the Magic Flute and La Traviata.
