Due to high demand,
Air New Zealand has announced that it is to increase the number of Pacific Premium Economy seats available on its B747 aircraft.
The airline's fleet will see the replacement of 15 standard economy seats with eight new Premium Economy seats by the end of October this year.
Ed Sims, group general manager international airline, said: "Pacific Premium Economy has been a hit ever since we launched it as part of our upgraded B747 aircraft in 2005."
Demand from passengers for the service has "grown steadily" since then, as many look to enjoy the additional space provided by Premium Economy, he added.
Mr Sims stated that the number of Premium Economy bookings had increased by ten per cent for its long-haul routes in the last few months.
Air New Zealand recently advised its passengers that they could save time at the airport by paying their Air Passenger Duty online.
