Horsens in
Denmark plays host to a unique and colourful festival celebrating medieval times in August.
Between the 24th and 25th, visitors, participants and performers from all over Europe descend on the city to experience the arts, crafts and music of the medieval period.
"Our aim is to evoke a feeling in our guests of medieval history brought to life," the organisers say.
"Visitors should feel that they have experienced a realistic portrayal of medieval life."
Disguising lamp posts, telephone boxes and bicycle stands, the city is transformed during the festival, with 5,000 performers in costumes helping visitors to immerse themselves in another world.

Take a stroll around the impressive Lego exhibits or enjoy the thrills of a wide variety of rides and attractions.
