Holidaymakers heading to
Dublin this summer might not want to miss the opportunity to take in one of the world famous Riverdance performances in the show's spiritual home city.
Between June 26th and August 25th, visitors to
Dublin will be able to witness this massive celebration of Ireland's traditional music and step dancing at the Gaiety Theatre, some 12 years after the phenomenon first kicked off.
When it first launched in 1995 as a spin-off from a Eurovision Song Contest entry the show was an instant hit, gaining millions of fans around the world as the Riverdance companies toured numerous countries across several continents.
The dance consists of a number of scenes depicting Irish men and women from ages gone by getting to grips with the new world around them through a series of songs and dances.
Elsewhere in
Dublin, there is plenty to see and do between performances, with events such as the BEO Celtic Music Festival, the Dun Laoghaire Festival of World Cultures 2007 and Circus Week all offering a variety of entertainment.

Riverdance website.
