Not going to Glastonbury this year? Try going the extra distance and getting a festival and overseas holiday in one go by
flying to Copenhagen for the Roskilde Festival.
Roskilde is located close to the Danish capital and sees more than 75,000 people congregate at Dyrskuepladsen every year to take in live performances from a wide range of big names from the worlds of rock, pop, soul, hip hop and more.
This year's event will see the likes of the Beastie Boys, Bjork, Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tiesto and The Who headline numerous stages between July 5th and 8th.
Other artists and bands scheduled to play include The Killers, My Chemical Romance, Arcade Fire, Datarock, Arctic Monkeys, LCD Soundsystem and Basement Jaxx.
Festival-goers looking to take a break from the music every now and then can also indulge in sports such as swimming, skateboarding, volleyball and even break dancing. A host of arts performers will also be strolling around campsites and social areas to give the odd impromptu show.
Have a look at the
Roskilde Festival website for more information.
