Middle Eastern airline
Emirates has announced plans to invest millions of dollars in improving its
first, business and economy class cabins over the next 18 months.
The carrier said that it intends to give its first class private suites a makeover, expand its lie-flat massage seats in business class and offer extra legroom for economy class customers.
In addition, the biggest personal television screens in the industry will be installed across all of the cabin classes onboard its long-haul fleet of Boeing 777s.
"Our premium customers tell us they want more personal space, particularly on long-haul travel and these considerations have been key in the development and refinement of our product," commented Tim Clark of
Emirates.
Earlier this month, the airline announced that it is to improve its online check-in facility - which is available in 67 airports across the globe - by offering the service up to 24 hours before departure.
