Passengers who fly from Terminal 5 at
Heathrow Airport when it opens next year will be able to take advantage of a raft of big name stores and outlets announced today.
The Carluccio's and Wagamama restaurants will be opening branches at the terminal to cater for those looking for something different to the usual fast food options generally seen at airports, adding to other confirmed eateries including Gordon Ramsay, Apostrophe and Giraffe.
Carluccio's offers a range of traditional Italian dishes through a cafe and deli, while Wagamama is popular for its Japanese noodle, rice, vegetable and meat options.
For those looking to shop rather than eat, Heathrow Airport also said today that a branch of US retailer Coach, which sells handbags, leather goods, scarves and sunglasses, will be opening at Terminal 5 next March.
"By mixing cutting-edge store design and exclusive collections, Coach is well positioned to deliver on our 'Five Promises' to the customer, surprising, satisfying and tempting them, whilst also respecting and simplifying the shopping experience," commented Colin Hargrave, managing director of BAA Retail.
Terminal 5 is scheduled to open on March 27th, 2008.
British Airways will operate all of its Heathrow flights from the new terminal.
