Business class airline
Eos Airlines has announced that it is to increase its services between
Stansted Airport and
New York later this year.
The carrier said that after the expansion it will be operating 40 flights between the two points a week, including a late night Sunday service and a new daytime flight that takes off from London during the late afternoon.
Eos chief executive Jack Williams said that the airline's flights from Stansted mean that there is little reason for passengers to "endure the Heathrow experience".
"We've designed a new schedule between JFK and Stansted that meets our guest's demands for more flights at the times that complement their active work and lifestyles, yet gives them options at both airports in the event they miss a flight or need to reschedule," he added.
The news comes in the wake of a recent statement from
Virgin Atlantic announcing the forthcoming launch of its own
business class airline.
British Airways is also rumoured to be introducing its own business class-only flights in the near future, according to the Financial Mail.
