GB Airways confirms winter schedule

GB Airways confirms winter schedule
British Airways franchise partner GB Airways has announced details of its winter schedule for 2007-08.

The airline will operate new non-stop Fez from Gatwick and to Marrakech from both Heathrow and Gatwick airports, as well as a new service between Manchester and Malta.

A weekly service to Hurghada in Egypt will also return to the winter timetable, along with extra Sharm El Sheikh flights and a new route to Innsbruck.

Alan McIntrye, commercial director for GB Airways, said that the airline is refocusing on key routes to north Africa and popular winter sunshine destinations.

"Flights to Fez started two years ago and this year should see more people choosing to visit the lesser-known city, whilst Marrakech builds on its position as number one tourist city in Morocco," he added.

Earlier this month, GB Airways launched an online fantasy golf league to coincide with the US Open. It will also be available for the 136th Open Championship, the PGA Championship and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
