Regional airline
Aer Arann is set to launch its new service between
Newcastle and
Galway in
Ireland this week.
The carrier said it will mark the occasion by offering free flights to the first passengers to check in for the new service.
Flights will run on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, offering travellers good opportunities to take a short break in Galway.
"The flight times make this an ideal two, three or four-night weekend break - just enough time to sample the stunning scenery, superb golf courses and famous hospitality on offer," commented Chris Sanders, manager of aviation development at Newcastle Airport.
Last month,
Aer Arann took delivery of ten new ATR 72-500 aircraft boasting a range of
eco-friendly features and lower noise levels.
It also launched a new route between
Bristol and Galway during the month, which is running four times a week.
