Crowds of visitors are set to descend on
Frankfurt this summer for the annual Museum Embankment Festival, also known as Museumsuferfest.
Taking place between August 24th and 26th, the event coincides nicely with the British bank holiday weekend - offering the perfect opportunity to fly over to
Germany for a short city break.
Travellers visiting
Frankfurt for the festival will be able to experience a wide range of cultural events and activities on the banks of the River Main, including museum exhibitions, plays, classical music performances and more.
As well as these events, a colourful dragon boat race similar to those seen in Asia will also take place, making sure that the festival provides entertainment for all the family.
Of course, there's much more to
Frankfurt than this one event, so if you intend to stay on in the city for more than a weekend, you will be able to take in a host of other attractions such as Frankfurt Cathedral, St Paul's Church, numerous shopping facilities and plenty of bars and pubs serving Frankfurt's traditional apple wine.
