Travellers heading to
Croatia this summer might want to check out the Dubrovnik Summer Festival.
This event attracts crowds of visitors to
Dubrovnik every year for several weeks of arts performances across some 70 open air venues, including theatre, dance, music and more.
Running until August 25th, the festival showcases some of the world's biggest talents in each of these fields, as well as introducing newer artists to the event's attendees.
Just a few highlights of the programme include A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Croatian National Theatre, a concert of classical Indian music featuring sitar player Purbayan Chatterjee and the Odissi Dance Group, and a performance by the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra on the final night.
Elsewhere in
Dubrovnik, visitors will be able to take in some impressive medieval architecture and sample the city's famously fresh seafood between festival performances.
For more information, check out the
Dubrovnik Summer Festival website.
