Business class carrier
Eos Airlines has opened its new departure lounge at
Stansted Airport.
The gate-side facility, named Club 48, features two 50-inch widescreen TVs, computers, Wi-Fi, a bar and catering services.
Furnishings are finished in leather, granite and frosted glass, while closed-off seating areas offer privacy for customers.
Adam Komack, senior vice president of marketing at
Eos Airlines, said that the
lounge lives up to its name by offering club-like services unlike the more traditional offerings seen in standard airline lounges.
"Club 48 is an extension of the Eos Class experience, another place where we treat our guests with genuine care instead of simply serving them well," he added.
The airline's 220-seater planes carry a maximum of 48
premium class passengers on any one flight, offering what it claims to be the largest amount of personal space on any commercial carrier.
Last month, it announced the expansion of its
New York schedule to 40 flights a week.
