Lufthansa has announced that it is resuming British flight connections to
Pakistan later this year.
Passengers flying from the UK and Ireland will be able to connect with the non-stop flights from
Frankfurt to
Karachi three times a week from October 28th.
The new winter timetable will also see the addition of a service to
Lahore, which is the second largest city in Pakistan.
Marianne Sammann, UK and Ireland general manager for
Lufthansa, said that the new connections will save time for passengers who have previously had to take flights with lengthy stopovers.
"This new non-stop connection from Frankfurt to Pakistan shortens the air journey there by up to four hours, compared with stopovers in the Gulf region," she commented.
Pakistan holds a number of attractions for holidaymakers, including its mountain scenery, intricate architecture and spicy cuisine.
Popular destinations within the country, apart from Karachi and Lahore, include
Islamabad,
Peshawar and
Multan.
