Prague 'popular' for hen and stag trips
The Czech city of Prague is proving particularly popular for Britons arranging hen and stag parties, according to one expert.
Carol Richardson of wedding website Confetti said that short-haul destinations in Europe are increasingly being used as locations for such outings as they are places that travellers can access "quickly and cheaply".
She revealed that a few intrepid brides and grooms-to-be are heading as far afield as the USA for their pre-nuptial celebrations, but noted that Europe is still among the most popular options.
"It's mostly European cities [and] European destinations, because it's much quicker to get there," Ms Richardson commented.
She added: "It's becoming a much bigger thing, so it's now the whole weekend, not just the evening."
Earlier this month, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office released a report that showed the Czech Republic to be one of the countries that requires the largest amount of consular assistance for incidents such as lost passports and hospitalisations.
