Airport operator BAA has announced details of a new restaurant planned for the new Terminal 5 at
Heathrow Airport.
Huxleys Bar & Kitchen will serve up a range of British dishes and delicacies to passengers passing through the terminal when it opens in March 2008.
The restaurant will aim to use local produce wherever possible in cuisine such as kiln-smoked Scottish salmon, steak and kidney pudding, ploughman's lunch, syrup sponge and spotted dick, among others.
A bar at the front of the restaurant will also provide a wide variety of beers, wines and spirits from both the UK and beyond.
"Huxleys Bar and Kitchen will be adding to the vast array of exciting restaurants offering innovative food concepts to passengers travelling through the terminal next year," commented Catherine Peachey, head of food and beverages at BAA.
Earlier this year, BAA announced that the Carluccio's and Wagamama restaurants will also open at Terminal 5 next year, adding to the Gordon Ramsay, Apostrophe and Giraffe outlets already confirmed for the
airport.
