British Airways strikes lounge spa deal
Passengers who are members of the First, Club World and Gold Executive Club initiatives run by British Airways will soon be able to enjoy revamped spa facilities in certain airport lounges.
The airline has signed a deal with spa brand Elemis which will see the firm take over the management of facilities in current British Airways lounges at Heathrow Airport and JFK Airport in New York, as well as planned services at the new Heathrow Terminal 5, which will open in March 2008.
Passengers will be able to indulge in massages and specialist treatments depending on whether they are preparing to snooze on a flight or wake up after a long journey.
The deal also includes the provision of inflight Elemis amenity kits, which contain eye gels, creams, lip balms and skin tonics, among other items.
"Our customers will benefit from Elemis' extensive experience in producing top quality skincare, both through treatments in the British Airways lounges and onboard via the amenity kits," commented Finola Lehane of British Airways.
Executive Club members are able to collect British Airways air miles which can be spent on flights and upgrades.
