The Danish city of
Copenhagen is set to cater for culture vultures who love the night-time next month with a popular annual event.
Nearly 100,000 people are expected to turn out for the Night of Culture on October 12th, which sees about 300 museums, exhibition halls, schools, churches, libraries and other venues open their doors to the public from 18:00 to midnight local time.
Numerous special events and performances will be taking place indoors and outdoors to mark the occasion. A Night of Culture badge is needed for visitors to be able to travel around the city and get into venues for free.
Music, dance, theatre, visual art, film and more are represented across
Copenhagen for the entertainment of the crowd, with last year's Night of Culture also seeing spectators buying and selling CDs and LPs at a special market and spending the evening in a night-time 'zoo'.
You could also take the chance to check out some of the city's most famous attractions by night, such as the Little Mermaid statue.

Night of Culture website.
