Passengers who rely on the Heathrow Express train to get to the hub have been informed of the service's plans for transporting customers to the new Terminal 5.
Terminal 5 will open on March 27th 2008 and the Heathrow Express, which is operated by BAA, will launch a service that departs from London Paddington Station every 15 minutes and stops at Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5 at the
airport.
The total journey time to T5 from Paddington will be 23 minutes. Passengers who need to get to Terminal 4 can do so by changing to the free inter-terminal transfer service at Terminals 1, 2 or 3.
Heathrow Express managing director Brian Raven commented: "This is a major step forward for Heathrow Express in supporting the launch of Terminal 5 and we want to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our passengers as Heathrow airport becomes Europe's leading gateway."
The new terminal at
Heathrow Airport is expected to see 30 million passengers pass through its gates every year.
