German airline
Lufthansa has won an accolade for its
business class offerings.
The carrier won the title of Europe's Leading Business Class Airline in the European version of the 2007 World Travel Awards earlier this week.
Some 167,000 travel experts and professionals across the globe voted for the winners of the awards, which also saw
Swiss win the accolade of Europe's Leading Airline and
East Midlands Airport gain the title of World's Leading Eco-Friendly Airport.
Lufthansa's business class cabin underwent a revamp last year, adding new
technology and extra space for passengers to enjoy.
"This award proves that Lufthansa's investment in our new business class product on European routes has been successful in meeting the needs of the business traveller," commented Marianne Sammann, UK and Ireland general manager for
Lufthansa.
Lufthansa offers a range of economy and
business class flights to Cape Town,
Mumbai and
Johannesburg, among other destinations.
