Swiss International Air Lines has announced plans to ramp up the number of flights it operates between
Manchester Airport and
Basel.
Coming as part of a wider revamp of its winter schedule, the carrier said the move would see a fourth weekly service added on the route between November 11th 2007 and March 16th 2008.
This follows the recent announcement that a new weekly service between Manchester and
Geneva will launch on December 16th, with flights taking place every Sunday until March 23rd 2008, "to meet the seasonal demand for such connections during the winter months".
Swiss also announced that it is to open new
lounges at Geneva Airport this year for its first class customers and certain travellers registered with its frequent flyer programme, while lounges for
business class and first class passengers are set to open at Zurich Airport.
Earlier this month, Swiss received the accolade of Europe's Leading Airline at the recent World Travel Awards ceremony.
