Scandinavian carrier
SAS has announced plans to launch a new service between
Bristol and
Oslo in
Norway next year.
The flights will begin on April 1st and will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, with tickets available for economy and
premium economy seats.
This announcement comes five months after the airline began a new service between Bristol and
Stockholm, which was so successful it will be reintroduced next year.
"We are expecting to see large numbers of leisure and business travellers taking advantage of the new route and flying to Oslo to explore Norway's beautiful capital city and surrounding landscape, whether for a business trip, a weekend escape, city break or adventure holiday, in spring 2008," commented Lars-Ove Filipson of
SAS.
Bristol Airport saw more than 586,000 travellers pass through its doors in September, bringing its total for the year so far to 4.5 million passengers.
