New flights between
London and
Denver in the
USA have been announced by
United Airlines.
The carrier said that it will begin the daily non-stop service, which will fly to and from
Heathrow Airport, on March 30th 2008 as a result of the open skies agreement between
Europe and the USA.
Boeing 777 aircraft will be used on the route, offering 12
first class, 49 business class and 197 economy class seats, including 83 in
premium economy.
"This year's open skies agreement that United strongly supported allows us to offer service between London and Denver, which will clearly benefit consumers on both sides of the Atlantic," commented John Tague, executive vice president and chief revenue officer at
United Airlines.
The carrier currently operates a wide range of economy and
business class flights to San Francisco,
Washington,
Los Angeles,
San Diego and
Chicago from Terminal 3 at Heathrow Airport.
