Silverjet begins Dubai flights
A new service between Luton Airport and Dubai is being kicked off today by Silverjet.
The new route from the business class airline sees flights depart daily and represents the first case of a premium airline flying from Dubai International Airport's Executive Terminal.
Passengers with tickets for these business class flights to Dubai depart for the Middle Eastern city at 21:00 GMT, with the return flight taking place the following morning.
Katherine Gershon, director of sales and marketing for Silverjet, said that the new flights have "excited" travellers in Dubai.
"Flying from the region has reached a whole new level and has now truly become 'sivilised'," she commented.
Silverjet's flights feature planes that carry no more than 100 passengers, providing travellers with extra space. Customers can also benefit from a menu designed by the Le Caprice restaurant, flat beds that measure six feet and three inches long, and a seatback massager.
