LOT Polish Airlines has announced plans to launch a new service between
Heathrow Airport and
Warsaw.
The carrier said it will become the only airline to operate such a route - which will see three flights a day take place between the two destinations - when it begins on March 30th 2008, as
British Airways is set to move its own
Warsaw flights to
Gatwick Airport.
The new flights will depart from Heathrow Airport at 06:50, 10:40 and 17:50 BST, with return services taking off at 08:00, 15:00 and 19:55 local time every day.
Karolina Stanislawska of
LOT Polish Airlines commented: "LOT London flights have been arranged to meet requirements of passengers for whom that city is a final destination [and] for one-day travels, and also [for] those who transfer there to other long-distance flights departing even for the most distant destinations in the world."
Warsaw is the capital of
Poland and offers attractions such as historic palaces and churches, boat trips on the Vistula river, and the Zoological and Botanical Gardens.
