If you like your wine and want a holiday that incorporates some top tipples, you might want to consider stepping on a
flight to San Francisco next year.
The city's annual Zinfandel Festival takes place between January 23rd and 26th across various venues and attracts some 10,000 people each year for four days of wine tasting.
Thought to be the biggest event of its kind in the world, the festival focuses on Zinfandel, a famously fruity and spicy Californian red wine.
Visitors to
San Francisco will be able to sample all kinds of Zinfandel during the festival, with the wine being teamed with bread and cheeses of all kinds to help participants get the most from their experience.
In-depth step-by-step sessions on how to break down the taste of wine into its various components will be on offer, as well as tours of wineries in the region and various dinners, dances, parties and more.

Zinfandel Festival website.
