Singapore Airlines has won a clutch of accolades in the latest Business Travel Awards ceremony.
The carrier won the top title of Best Airline In The World, as well as receiving awards for its economy class, international travel and
inflight food offerings following voting from readers of Business Traveler Magazine.
It hit the headlines recently after becoming the first airline to use the
Airbus A380 on a commercial air route towards the end of October.
Other airlines that were recognised for their
business class flights and other services included
Korean Air,
Etihad,
Continental Airlines and
Delta Air Lines.
Commenting on the carrier's wins, Ken Bright of Singapore Airlines said: "The overall business class market has gone upscale in the last few years.
"Today's business class is as good as our first class was ten years ago."
Meanwhile, Singapore Changi picked up the title of Best Airport In The World, while Marriott won the award of Best Hotel Chain In The World.
