Holidaymakers looking for a
winter break with a difference might want to head to
Chicago in February.
The city's Millennium Park will play host to a month-long exhibition entirely comprising of unusual works of art made from ice by Canadian artist Gordon Halloran.
Dubbed the Museum of Modern Ice, the event's main highlight is a wall of ice that stands almost 12 feet high and is 95 feet long. Other exhibits include an ice painting embedded in a skating rink and other art pieces that stay cold using portable refrigeration methods.
A range of one-off activities will also be held at the exhibition throughout February, while attendees might also want to take the opportunity to explore the rest of the attractions and sights that
Chicago has to offer.
Visitors to the city could check out Lake Michigan, go shopping at Macy's, find out about space at the Adler Planetarium or visit the Chicago History Museum.

Museum of Modern Ice website.
