The number of air trips being made for business purposes rose over the course of 2007, new research has revealed.
A survey by
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) suggested that over two-thirds of flyers have travelled overseas on business more often in 2007 than they did last year, breakingtravelnews.com reports.
In addition, almost one-quarter of the airline's customers chose to fly business class in 2007, with 22 per cent opting for its
premium economy cabin, Economy Extra.
"SAS's business traveller products have shown good performance figures in 2007 on our UK to Scandinavia flights," commented Lars Ove-Filipson, UK and Ireland general manager for
SAS.
He added: "It is evident that business travellers require the flexibility and added service benefits of a business product."
SAS offers a range of
business class flights to destinations such as
Stockholm,
Oslo,
Bergen,
Stavanger and
Copenhagen from airports in
London,
Birmingham,
Bristol and
Manchester Airport, among other locations.
