Details of the forthcoming Winter Restaurant Week in
New York have been announced by the city's tourist board.
The widely anticipated event, which sees hundreds of restaurants across the Big Apple offer cuisine at ultra-low prices, will run between January 21st and 25th and from January 28th to February 1st, NYC & Company revealed.
Over 220 eating establishments are expected to offer three-course lunches at a fixed price of $24.07 (£12.10) and three-course evening meals for $35, not including the cost of drinks, taxes and tips.
Travellers heading to
New York can make reservations at top restaurants such as Mai House, the River Cafe, Chanterelle and A Voce from today (December 21st).
"Restaurant Week is a celebration of dining in New York City," commented Tracy Nieporent, Myriad Restaurant Group partner and chairman of the NYC & Company restaurant committee.
"It is the single largest culinary event in the entire country."
New York is home to restaurants that serve a wide range of cuisine, including French, Italian, Mexican, Brazilian, Cuban and Russian food, among others.
